From Father Michael Long: Registration is now open for two civil rights pilgrimages! A choice of two pilgrimage trips is being offered during the Spring of 2025 to Episcopalians and their friends throughout the Austin area. One will be a 9-day bus trip experiencing sites in Tulsa, Little Rock, Memphis, Montgomery and more, and one will be a 5- day trip flying into Birmingham and visiting Montgomery and Selma. Leaders from Good Shepherd, St. Matthew’s, and St. John’s have teamed up to plan these trips. Participants will reflect on events of the past and the present and how they inform our faith. Please consider joining us on one of these inspirational opportunities. For more information see: https://tinyurl.com/AustinAreaPilgrimages

Please be aware that a permit has been filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for an asphalt and rock crushing plant that is to be built on the Hoover Valley Road. It will likely cause lots of problems with traffic in Burnet (Highway 29 at 281 intersection) as well as affect water and air quality for many people in and around that project area. For more information about this project go online to SaveBurnet.com There is a link for submitting comments to the TCEQ that has the permit number.
Please continue to pray for all in need of comfort, healing, and support. We are all the children of the King of Kings.
