As a result it was a Huge Success.
This coming Saturday, the 24th, will be Men's Breakfast at 8:00 a. m. Please let Rufus know if you plan
to attend. Rufus is cooking, and he hates waste.
Daughters of the King meets this Sunday after church. If any of you ladies have ever wondered what Daughters is all about, please join us. You would be most welcome.
The 115th Annual Retreat for Women will be at Camp Allen October 15 thru 16. More information can
be found at: www.epicenter.org
The Vestry approved making a $500 donation to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund (this was once called the Bishop's Relief Fund) for Louisiana Flood Relief. The Vestry also approved that Epiphany will pay for the Main Dish for the Alzheimer's Respite Lunch the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Folks, These are funded through our Outreach Funds. The Vestry also approved letting the Boys and Girl's Club use the Youth Center for Teen Activities Monday through Friday afternoons. This will not hinder other programs that the Youth Center is used for. The Vestry also approved that the "Loose Plate" collection on October 30th would go to UTO.
HELP, HELP---A Volunteer is needed to keep the Church Office open on 6th- Dianne will be out of the office. Without a volunteer, the Office Will Be Closed. Note, this is an ALL DAY venture.
Congratulations to Phyllis McNelly and Carol Weathers and Dolores Urias.. Mummm, Beautiful. They have completed their kneelers.
A housekeeping note:anything left in the refrigerator in the parish hall or youth center beyond its use by date will be thrown out.
Sunday Attendance was 40 and Collection was $ 2373.50 .
The Rev. Ben Long will be our Supply Priest while Michael is on Vacation.

Those scheduled to serve this coming Sunday are: Linda Dyke, Lector, and Jim Dyke, Eucharistic Minister. Ushers are to be Alicia White and Patty Murray. Vestry Person of the will be Elizabeth Drake.
From Michael's Sermon: " We ask for God's help, to be certain. And then we use what God has given us in order to act as God's faithful people here and now. Granted, that's not much of an answer to ' What is he telling us?' but maybe it helps to point us in the right direction of embracing our lives and using all our resources to act as conduits of God's compassion and love, placed as we are among things that are passing away."
