If you did not turn in your Pledge Card Sunday, you can do it next Sunday. Remember the Vestry, the Budget Committee, meets October 16 at 2 P. M. Think seriously about what you would like for Epiphany and its Ministries to be in 2020.
Fr. Michael reminded us Sunday that every Sunday in the Prayers of the People we pray for...... "and for all bishops and other ministers "Who are these other ministers? Go to the Book of Common Prayer on page 855 of the Catechism..The answer is "The ministers of the Church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons". Something to ponder on. Yep, this means us.
*******This week Michael will be in his office on Friday, not Thursday. He has a wedding rehearsal Friday evening in Burnet.
Next Tuesday, October 8th is Epiphany’s turn to provide lunch for the Highland Lakes Alzheimer’s Respite Group. Thanks to the DOK for the main dish, Rufus and Sandy Arrington for the mashed potatoes, Alicia White for the salad and bread, and Patty Murray for the dessert. If this is something you would like to help once or twice during the year, please let Sandy or Rufus know. As always a special thank you to Mike Kelley and Mark Pack for their faithful service as helpers with the clients..
This evening is Epiphany's turn to host the Community Kitchen. We are going to be a little short handed so if you think this is something you might want to do, come anytime between 2-5:30. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Many hands make light work.
A very special thank you to June Hutson for putting together a new coffee host schedule for 2020. It was a lot of work we know. If this is something you do not want to do please let her know.
As a reminder the loose offering this coming Sunday, 1st Sunday, goes to L A Care.
