Thank you all so much for all you do to make Epiphany, the channel of God's love that it is. You are the best!
"Will you please include in the E-Star the joy and blessings received by parishioners, especially those of us that cannot move as quickly, watching Jeremiah Slape and James Weathers running to the altar to receive communion ", received from Diane Hays today.
Now for a few reminders:
++++It is the Flu Season---do not forget to get you flu shot and shingles shot*******+++++
Sunday, October 14, will be Covered Dish Lunch. We hope that you can come. It will be a wonderful opportunity to have a chance to visit and enjoy a delicious lunch. If you happen to forget to bring something, don't worry. There will be plenty. And if there happen to be visitors that day, please go out of your way to invite them.
Keep selling those raffle tickets for Ellie's beautiful queen size quilt. Wonder who will be the lucky person who wins it on December 15th.

Michael ended his sermon with words from a poem by Sylvia Purdie entitled 'Song of the Stars'
"Around God's Word we gather-
the Son, light of the world.
His way finds the lost
his truth opens blind eyes
his life conquers death
his bread feeds our hunger
his spirit feels hearts with joy
his desire burns away greed
his touch is sweeter than honey.
May our lives shout your Word
in all we say, in all we do
out in the open or hidden in the dark.
May our lives sing your Word
in the secrets of our soul,
in trouble, in shame, in confidence.
Shine brightly, Lord
and hold us in your Orbit.
Amen."
Have a Blessed Week
