DO NOT FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK 1 HOUR BEFORE YOU GO
TO BED THIS COMING SATURDAY NIGHT.......
Beginning NEXT WEEK the Estar will be coming from the CHURCH OFFICE
under the pen of Dianne Williams, office manager. We have enjoyed writing it
for all these years but the time has come to give it up. All of us are going to have
to help Dianne. So, if you have something to go in the ESTAR you are going to
need to get it to Dianne by the designated deadline. The Office will be the
HUB that Epiphany turns around, as it should be. Just to clear the air, we are
not going anywhere.
Fr. Michael is having a bit of a well earned Respite. The Rev. Ben Long was with
this past Sunday and will be with us this coming Sunday, November 1st. We hope
that Fr. Michael is getting some rest and taking time to enjoy his down time.
I am sure you noticed in the "Special Edition E-Star" that our Patty Murray has
been diagnosed with Lung Cancer and been referred to an Oncologist in Austin
for further tests. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
Special prayers, please, for Diane Langley who is under the weather. By the
way, her gmail is not working-use tdlangley@verizon.net until fixed.
Food for thought---people that come to the Parish Hall eucharist could bring their
Laptops and I Phones and stay after the service to participate with the Zoom
worshipers during coffee hour.
*******The following is a prayer that was in the service sheet Sunday: *******
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide
the people in the United States in the election of officials and representatives;
that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected
and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen. Please be sure and vote.
Sunday, October 25th :
ATTENDANCE : 14 Parish Hall
20 Zoom
Total: 34
Some of you may have noticed the opening of the New Teen Center at the YMCA.
You, as I , probably wondered how this would affect the Teen Center of the Boy's
and Girl's Club at Epiphany. I visited with Bill Drake regarding this. The Teen
Center at Epiphany will continue as he said most of the parents of the B/G Club
kids could NOT AFFORD the YMCA fees. This is a reminder that Epiphany's
outreach carries on.
Jim and Carol Weathers are scheduled to read the Lessons and Prayers this
coming Sunday, November 1st.
Happy Birthday to : Susan Mitchell-10-29
In Closing, ALL of us are suffering from " Pandemic Fatigue" but PLEASE,
do not let your guard down--wear those masks, social distance, and avoid
large groups in enclosed areas----with this extreme cold and wet weather
pushing us more indoors, it is so important to be aware of protecting others
and ourselves even more.
Stay well
Be Safe
