We begin today's E-Star with a prayer that Michael asked us to include.
For Guidance
O God, by whom the meek are guided in judgment, and light rises up in darkness for the godly: Grant us, in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would have us to do, that the Spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices, and that in your light we may see light, and in your straight path may not stumble; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
This prayer, No. 58, can be found on page 832, in the Book of Common Prayer. Thank you Michael for the suggestion. It is so appropriate.
As addressed in the Senior Warden's letter, included in last week's E-Star, checks we given out this week to The Alzheimer's Respite Group, The Community Kitchen, L A Care, and the Boys and Girl's
Club from the proceeds raised from the "Gumbo Luncheon". Again, thank you to ALL that worked so hard to make this possible.
A Very Special Thank You goes out to Tom Mitchell for mowing the Church Yard, and to Deborah and Mike Kelley for mowing the "East Pasture"....I might add, just in time before the next round of showers.
Again, Thank you soooooo much.
