Hello All, hope all of you are safe and well. This E-star does not have a lot of special things to say, but we are trying to keep you up on what is going on. Attendance at the virtual service Sunday was way up. Several people were having Internet issues but were able to make an audio connection. Hope you were able to participate, and Rachel did a great job reading the lessons and prayers.
Tuesday Fr. Michael met with Episcopal Clergy from Marble Falls, Bee Caves of Lake Travis, Lago Vista, Lampasas, Cedar Park, and Northwest Austin; all are pretty much doing virtual worship as we are. A lot of things were discussed but the main thing that all were in agreement on was that it would be some time
in June before we would be worshiping in "our buildings"... (AT THE EARLIEST)
The Forward Day by Day is available at the church office. Dianne Williams is there around 9:00 a.m. most days and she and Diane Hays are there on Tuesday morning till 11:00 a.m. working on the books and bank deposit.
******By the way, the " Pay Pal Button" on the church website is LIVE for church contributions.
**FYI**--we talked with Mae and Morgan Wright yesterday. They are fine. He is having computer problems---can receive emails but not send them.
Suppose you got the word that restaurants will open this week and hair & nail salons, and barber shops will open the end of next week under some strong restrictions. Each has a good and a bad side (?).
There seems to be some confusion about where Burnet County stands with Covid 19. On one hand it was good that the National Guard testing found no new cases, but Dr. Madrigal reported 4 new positive case this Monday. Caution is still the best thing.
A belated Happy Birthday wish to Joe Rose and Ethan Aguilera Long who both celebrated their birthday on May 5. Happy Birthday to Cesar Arreaza who celebrates his birthday Friday, May 8, to Carol Guthrie and Roy Heuss who celebrate their birthdays May 12, and to Isaiah Montemayor who celebrates his birthday on May 13.
Scheduled to do the readings and prayers this Sunday are Carol and Jim Weathers.
Thanks so much.
Some words of encouragement:
"Surrender to what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be"
Sonia Ricotti
"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
John Lennon
Have a blessed week
Carpe every diem
