Steven Tomlinson gave us another fine sermon Sunday. Again, it was one that precipitates much thought. His story was about someone that had to deal with some very difficult issues in their life and how they confronted them. He concluded with; now, the story is yours...... He will be graduating and moving on with his ministry. June 4th will be his last Sunday with us. Yep, we'll miss him.
It was so good having Fr. Michael back from vacation. He truly did seem rested. He concluded the service saying that with the singing so good there was no excuse not to have a choir. I heard several respond, we knew the music that was selected--Together we make a joyful noise.
We continue to have visitors every Sunday. Hope you got to meet Mary Ewert from Liberty Hill. She has been going to Grace in Georgetown but has concluded it's too far to drive. Please greet and welcome our visitors. And get their names and addresses in the guest book--Ushers, Please Make an Extra Effort for this.
There are several that need your extra prayers as they recover from surgeries and procedures. Please keep R G Guthrie, Roy Heuss, Mary Hart, and Linda Myers in your prayers. I talked with Lee Myers this week--Linda is still in a lot of pain and recovery is slow. Carol Guthrie said R G had some complications with his surgery.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend. Let’s not forget the reason to remember Memorial Day. It is a day for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. God Bless the United States of America! And those who died for our freedom!
