We would like to express our deepest sympathy to Cranz Nichols and his family with the passing of his dear wife Elizabeth. Please keep them in your prayers.
The following are some remembrances from a fellow parishioner:
"In the sixties in our small BHS, Seniors had little sisters & Elizabeth was mine. We were in band together & my dear friend. Cranz ‘s parents were best friends with my folks. Vivian Nichols was my mom’s hairdresser for beyond too many yrs to count. Mrs Rhoden was my teacher & then my pt. I miss visiting her @ Oaks with the restrictions in place. Mr Rhoden would tease me each time that I would buy rabbit pellets from his feed store. He would say - “Now you know that domestic pet rabbits don’t have a long-life expectancy so I wouldn’t buy a lot.” Pee wee lived for 14 yrs!!!! Just silly memories, but good ones of a wonderful family." Thank you, Alicia White for your sharing.
The Fall Rummage Sale: Carol Weathers would like to do the "Rummage Sale" this fall- not right after Labor Day but maybe in latter September if schools are in session. There will be some strong restrictions. Carol will let you know.
FYI from Georgie Nolan---the Library Thrift Store in Burnet is open for Donations but is not open. There are some strict guidelines. A credit charge system is being installed.
A true sign of the times........
Fr. Michael is sending out a Parish Survey. Please express your Honest Feelings in your
answers. Thank you all so much, you are who makes Epiphany a family.
A belated Anniversary Wish to Melinda and Shon Lovelace who celebrated their anniversary
on May 13. Happy Birthday to Elizabeth Drake and John Mather who celebrate their
birthdays on May 17 and to Shanette Dorman who celebrates her birthday on May 20.
Those scheduled to read the lessons and the prayers this Sunday are Jim and Linda Dyke.
Burnet County now has had 29 cases of Covid 19, the last reported on May 12. Only one
has been hospitalized, and 21 have recovered. Only 10 have been over 60, and only 1
over 80.
Take care of yourselves and stay well.
Carpe Every Diem,
Rufus and Sandy
