THE EPIPHANY E-STAR--MARCH 30, 2023
 
Sunday was truly a joyous occasion at Epiphany with the Baptism of Nora Lee and Nolen Kirkpatrick and the confirmation of Abbey Major and Ellen Lee by Bishop Andy Doyle.  Congratulations to ALL and their families.
 
Now, Thank ALL of You Epiphanites that contributed to the beautiful reception afterwards under the leadership of our wonderful Carol Weathers.  You could tell that everyone enjoyed it. (as a side note the library and hall of the administration building worked just fine).
 
I would be remiss if I did not mention the personal and relaxed manner of Bishop Doyle during the service and with the celebration of the Eucharist.  It was truly a service to remember.
 
Words from the Sr. Warden:
“Upon a lovely meeting with Bishop Doyle, the Vestry was informed that Epiphany will be receiving some funds from the Diocese for our restoration efforts. The Bishop was impressed with our vigilance in dealing with multiple issues and receptive to our ideas.  Pest control is being conducted on a quarterly basis.  Scott Lawrie, our exterminator, plugged holes in the outside after eradicating our facility.  He noted that our critter friends took refuge with us for a very long time and will continue to attempt to regain entry into our parish.  He came out recently after a squirrel was observed climbing up on the eave and entering.  Scott also treats rodent and squirrel issues for BCISD.  He's very experienced and really nice guy.  Maintaining our facility is of utmost importance.  The Restoration Committee will be meeting via Zoom Monday, April 3rd.
