Thanks to Deborah Kelley, Cecile Gloier, and whoever it was who told me (Sandy) she was going to bring cookies to the picnic, June 30, we have everything we need. Thanks to everyone who stepped up to the plate and graciously volunteered.
The CPR and First Aid class last Thursday was very helpful and informative. Thank you so much Mike and Deb for doing this. It was a true gift.
From the Senior Warden:
Epiphany Family, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the Church Picnic and Semi-Annual Meeting! Sandy and Rufus are planning a wonderful meal for us. Thank you to all who are helping by preparing food, setting up, and cleaning up, we really do work as a well-oiled machine! We felt it was important to have a Semi-Annual meeting to keep you all informed of the daily tasks we face as a Vestry. And to disclose to you where we are on our 2019 budget and goals. This is an important time in the life of our Parish, and it is imperative that we ALL stay well informed. Please come to the meeting with open minds and open hearts. The Vestry wants and needs your input as we are faced with hard decisions that affect the Parish as we go into the future. See you on the 30th!! In Christ Love, Deborah K
A Word from St. Anne’s-Remember that St. Anne's will not meet in June and July but will meet in
August to begin plans for the Rummage Sale, Friday & Saturday after Labor Day-Sept. 6 and 7. Also that there is a storage unit at Westore on 29 for large items. The key is in the church office.
Attendance last Sunday 34
Those scheduled to serve this Sunday are David Leitch and Rachel Bryson. (But I am pretty sure David is out of town).
Ushers are J.J. and Maria Gonzales.
Serving on Altar Guild are Nancy Petty and Sue Brunson.
Coffee Hosts are Mae Wright and Kendra Avery. Vestry Person of the Day is Jim Weathers.
Michael's sermon last Sunday, Trinity Sunday, gave us much to think about. He read us the Athanasian
Creed (which I had barely heard of but is found on page 864 of the Prayer Book under Historical Documents
of the Church. His closing sentence seems to say it all, "And we give thanks to a God who is great and loving enough to accept us along with our ruminations." Thank, Michael.
Have a Blessed Week
Carpe every Diem
