A Word from our Senior Warden, Diane Hays," One of the air conditioner units for the church must be replaced. It has been ordered and should be installed within 2 weeks. Good news: Several years ago our vestry began a contingency fund for such emergencies. We have money to pay for the new unit."
George Shoop's funeral will be this Friday, the 15th, at 10: a.m. After the service, the family will go to the cemetery to
bury the urn. They will return about noon when there will be a reception and luncheon in the Parish Hall at Epiphany.. We hope you can come. George meant a great deal to many of us. He was quite a guy.
Michael will be at Epiphany all day Friday, June 15 instead of Thursday. The Church Office will
close on Thursday at 1:00 and be open all day Friday.
The East Lot looks pretty. Thank you Claude Burks for the mowing assisted by Tim Hallmark on the
Trimmer.
Because of your generosity LA Care Sunday, we were able to buy 39 cans of Spam and 20 cans of pork and
beans, the things Lottie McCorkle asked for. Thank you so much. Last Sunday the loose offering went to
Michael's Discretionary Fund which goes to help folks in need. Because of your giving, many people will be able to be helped. Thanks for that too.
Yesterday was our Tuesday to provide lunch for the Alzheimer's Respite Group. Thank you people of Epiphany, June Hutson, and Alicia White for providing it. By the way, if you could provide bread and salad
for August, September, or October, it would be most appreciated. There are now 10 clients, the maximum
that they can serve. Counting the clients and the helpers, 24 people are served lunch each week. Also-
if you have ever thought you might be interested in being a helper, contact Mike Kelley for information. He
has been doing it for quite a while and knows all about it.
Attendance- 31 Collection- $ 4597
Those scheduled to serve next Sunday are Jim and Linda Dyke. Ushers are Claude Burks and Mark Milanovich. Serving on Altar Guild are Diane Hays and Barbara DeHart. Those providing cookies for coffee hour are Diane Langley and Karen Leitch. Vestry Person of the Day is Georgie Nolan.

While we weren't in church to hear Michael's sermon last Sunday, we did read it several times and found it
very meaningful. We do often lose heart-like when I (Sandy) managed to delete the E-Star and had to start
over. Michael's closing words seemed to speak to that too. He said, "This God has plumbed the depths of human experience and knows the angst which sometimes plagues us. This God holds out for us better things than we can hope for or imagine. This very God comes to us in the guise of both compassionate neighbors and worldwide movements which make that seemingly remote God immediate and real in our lives and in the life of the world. Out of the depths have we to call to God, and God hears our voices. May we trust that always." Thanks Michael-and remember Michael's sermons can be found on the church website, or we
will be happy to email them to you.
Have a blessed week,
Carpe Every Diem,
Rufus and Sandy
