Sunday, we welcomed Fr. Trey Garland as our Supply Priest. It has been good to get to know other
priests, but it will be Very Good to have Michael back next Sunday. We hope that he and Cheri had a
wonderful time on their vacation.
There will be a memorial service for Pastor Rick Leaphart on Sunday, July 29 at 3 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Burnet. He was a good friend to many at Epiphany and will be sorely missed. Please keep his
wife Cricket, the family, and the congregation of First Lutheran in your prayers.
We know that some of you would like to send Phyllis (and Bert) a card. Their address in Houston is:
Phyllis and Bert Mcnelly
Modera Flats #509
1755 Wyndale St.
Houston, Texas 77030
A special thank you to Sherry Ward and Rachel Bryson. They just showed up to help at Community
Kitchen last Thursday. Several of the regulars were out of town; and frankly we were concerned about
having enough help. Thanks also to Jane Scheidler who now is coming whenever she can.
Another thank you to Sherry Ward, Kris Picken, and Mae Wright who have volunteered to provide bread
and salad and dessert for the Alzheimer's Respite Group. The Respite Group has grown to ten, the
maximum they can have, plus a helper for each client, as well as several support people, a total of 25.
The annual St. Anne's Rummage Sale is just around the corner-the weekend after Labor Day, we believe.
So, please start cleaning out those closets. Remember that what someone else doesn't need is needed
very much by someone else. This too is a tremendous amount of work, so if you could lend a hand, please
contact Carol Weathers or anyone else involved with St. Anne's. Much of the money raised goes to provide
things for Epiphany as well as outreach to the community.
Speaking of St. Anne's we believe that meetings will resume the third Wednesday in August. Besides
doing great things, it is most enjoyable.
Also, the stitchery group will start meeting again soon. Diane L, Cecile, and I went to see Ginny Little
a few weeks ago, and she had one of the little pouches fastened to her walker. I believe Cecile had sent
it to her. At any rate, it is so handy for holding little things. Thanks too to all who are involved with that
ministry.
We can't say it enough. What a wonderful channel of God's Love is Epiphany!
All the ladies of Epiphany are invited to the Fellowship of Women of the Churches of Burnet. It is meeting
at Hill Country Fellowship on Monday, July 30 at 2:00.
Sundays Attendance 36 Offerings-$2161
