Vacation Bible School is in full swing. Thanks to Tammy Hester and Elizabeth Drake for working so hard on the program for this year. Last evening was Epiphany's turn to help. Many thanks to Mary and Steve Stevens, Bert McNelly, Joe Urias,
Gary Hardy, and the Arringtons who helped serve supper. Thanks to Phyllis McNelly who was a storyteller and Nancy Heuss, Joyce Juhnke, and Georgie Nolan who did crafts. Thanks to those who furnished crafts and other materials. There
are probably others who helped, thank you as well. Please let us know so that we can thank you by name.
The next big event coming up is the annual St. Anne's Rummage Sale, September 5 and 6. There will be a meeting of St. Anne's Wednesday, July 23 probably at 10:00 to make plans. Please try to come if you can. Also, keep cleaning out those closets. Remember we have a storage building for larger items. If you can help price, set up, be at the sale, or clean up, please let Linda know. All help will be very much appreciated!
Along with projects are the things that folks do to make Epiphany the wonderful place it is. It is always amazing how things just seem to get done without much fanfare. An example was covered dish lunch last Sunday. Linda Hardy was definitely the leader, but so many pitched in. Thank you all.
Speaking of helpers, the Server at the 8:00 service will be Tim Erskine. The Servers at 10:30 will be Jim and Carol Weathers. Ushers at 10:30 will be Joe and Dolores Urias.
This all fits in with Michael's sermon last Sunday as well as the one the Sunday before. This Sunday he talked about the sower and the seed and closed his sermon with these words, "Good works are good works, regardless. But we are different when we act freely from an overflowing of God's love in us and through us. And we are part of the yield, the crop, the fruit of God's love. May we know that we are loved by God, and may our actions help others to know the same about themselves ". Thanks, Michael. We are trying our best to do just that.
Have a blessed week and Carpe every diem.
