Fr. Michael announced Sunday that since nobody came forth to be a delegate to Diocesan Council February 7 and 8 in Waco, he is going.  He feels very strong that Epiphany needs to be represented. He will NOT be in his office next Thursday, the 6th.

Don't forget, this coming Sunday, February 2nd is the Bishop's Visitation to Epiphany.  After the Eucharist, there will Be Potluck in the Parish Hall.  The Bishop wants to meet with the Vestry also after the service.    Hope you can be there.

GUMBO LUNCHEON----is right around the corner---February 21---much help is needed--Yes, that is the Friday before Lent begins.  Watch for an announcement of a special Gumbo Workday.  Let Jim Dyke or Deborah Kelley know if you can help in any way.  For success, it is going to take a lot of volunteers.  Flyers will be out soon, maybe Sunday.

A Word about Respite Lunch-Thank you Daughters of the King for providing the meat loaf dinners and mashed potatoes for the February 11 lunch and to Alicia White for providing the bread and salad and Carol Weathers for providing the dessert.  If you could provide bread and salad for either April 14 or June 9, please let me (Sandy) know.  Thanks to Sherry Musgrove and to Patty Murray for providing desserts for those dates.

Now a word about Daughters of the King-Daughters of the King is a prayer and service group for women of the Episcopal Church.  If this is something you might be interested in please contact me(Sandy) or any other Daughter; or better yet join us for a meeting to see if this might be your cup of tea.  Some folks think you have to be asked to join, but this is simply not true.  All are welcome.  Think about it.
