· We are saddened to report the Fr. Ted Hervey, our Rector Emeritus, passed away last night. Information about funeral arrangements are pending. Please keep Carol and the family in your prayers.
It was good that so many (@ 50) attended the Annual Parish Meeting Sunday.
Our New Senior Warden is Deborah Kelly and Junior Warden is Jim Weathers:
those elected to the Vestry were Sandy Arrington, Melinda Hallmark, and J. J. Gonzales,
and delegates to Diocesan Council will be Carol and Jim Weathers.
Thank ALL of you for agreeing to serve.
Thank you Sandy Arrington, Karen Leitch, and the Epiphany Family for the light lunch before the parish meeting.
From Our Senior Warden:
"For those of you that do not know me, I am a native "Burnetite" as were my parents and grandparents. I am married to Mike Kelley, who is also a native "Burnetite" as were his parents and grandparents. We have 3 wonderful, grown, married children and 4 awesome grandchildren.
I am not a "native" Episcopalian, I was raised in the First Baptist Church here in Burnet, but when Mike and I were looking for a Church Home, and we decided to visit different Churches in the area to see where we felt at home. When we attended Epiphany for the first time, we both felt that this would be our new Church home. It wasn't because of the Liturgy or the Tradition, but it was because of the friendly, caring people.
So, as we start our new Church year, please realize that I am new to this Sr. Warden assignment. But in All things we must trust in God's wisdom and guidance.
This year promises to be challenging, but I know the Vestry is ready to take these challenges and mold them into a productive, growing Church.
I hope to get to know each of you on a more personal basis, and hope that if you call, email, or visit with me about concerns that you have.
In Christ Love,
Deborah Kelley”
Information for The Gumbo Crew:
“We will assemble in the parish hall at 10 am on Saturday. All are welcome to participate in the cooking of the gumbo. Please let Deborah Kelley know by Thursday the 17th if you plan to attend.
The ingredients will already be in the kitchen. We will enjoy the final product when finished between 12:00 & 1:00. As we go through the process, we will discuss plans for the big event March 1st. This will be fun and yummy".

Through Your Holy Spirit, open the hearts of this country and the world, and enliven all our minds as we remember those who are sold in our midst, and inspire us to proclaim the freedom you offer to all through Your well-beloved Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns. Amen."
