We pray for those traveling this week.
We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life, and especially for the birthdays of Robert Winter (1/14), Otis Maclay (1/16), and Sue Brunson (1/17).
We pray for all who have died, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom, especially Merle Juhnke, Ruth Nibling, and Fred Monette. We also pray for their families and friends and all who mourn their passing.
Funeral services for Merle Juhnke will be held at Epiphany Church on Friday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m.
Children who would like to attend “children’s services” during the regular Sunday services can meet with Nancy Heuss in Class Room “B” (next to the library in the administration building). She will have Sunday Children’s Worship Bulletins for ages 3+ and ages 7+.
Bishop Kai Ryan will be at Epiphany on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She will be baptizing Mary and Ray Rubio’s grandson, Logan Feltz, and Marjorie Tiemann. There will be a reception following the Eucharist in the Parish Hall hosted by St. Anne’s Guild.
The Junior Warden wanted thank the anonymous gardener at the church for their pruning the lantana! Excellent job and perfect timing.
Please note that Reverend DeaconSteven Tomlinson’s ordination will be on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 p.m. at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 1941 Webberville Rd, Austin, TX.
The church received the invoice from Premium Lawncare for fixing the irrigation system in the yard plus to repair damage to the system (repair/replace heads and nozzles, adjust coverage) and overall system maintenance check. Their invoice includes time and materials. The total invoice is $1,103.87. These necessary repairs are not covered by insurance. Hopefully this will get the system back and running properly. We are asking for any donations to help with the payment of the invoice. Any amount would be greatly appreciated!
There are several poinsettias left over. If you would like one, please take them—they are in the hallway across from the church office.
If you haven’t turned in your pledge card for 2024, please do, if you can. Our budget is pretty slim for 2024. Many thanks!!
Please continue to pray for all in need of comfort, healing, and support. We are all God’s children and are called to serve Him in any way we can.
