The service and reception for Phyllis Sunday was just another example of the family that is Epiphany as we tried to bring comfort to Bert and his family and to each other. Thanks you Michael for the beautiful service, and thank you to Carol W. Georgie, and all the others who made the reception so perfect.
BY the way, the MUSIC for the service was perfectly wonderful. Thank you Mike Kelley.
Sunday was also the blessing of the pledge cards. We trust that you have prayed about your pledge. We also trust that you are up to date on your 2018 pledge. If we want Epiphany to be as it is now, we have to pay for it. The choice is ours.
We received word that Mary Arnett, a member of Epiphany of years ago, died. Please keep her family in your prayers.
A word from our missionary, Jeannie Loving-"Thank you for the designated offering. And thank you for inviting me. You have the most wonderful people at Epiphany. I love to be with them."
Now, about the Posada this Sunday. It will be pretty much as usual. One addition is that Sheila
Wilson will play chords on her guitar as we go from place to place to remind us of Joseph and Mary
looking for lodging. Mike and Deborah Kelley will be our Mary and Joseph this year. After the service, please gather at the side door nearest the church office and wait for Mike and Deborah. Sheila and her guitar will join them, and we will begin the procession. We will stop at the youth center door, Michael's office, and Dianne Williams's office where we will be turned away and go to the parish hall where we will be welcomed in for a Mexican lunch. Some of us walk a little slower than others so lets try our best to stay together. The Posada is a lovely Mexican tradition that has become a tradition at Epiphany. We hope you can come. One more thing, if you have a crèche you would like
to share, please bring it. We will put the nativities on the tables just for the celebration. Then you will take it home. We wouldn't want anything to happen to something so precious.
***Wednesday, December 5---The office will not open until NOON as Dianne W. have an appointment
at 10:00 with Belltone in Georgetown.
Remember that the office will be closed December 11 and 12 while Dianne W. has cataract surgery.
Please keep her in your prayers.
There is a Sign-up Sheet in the narthex for Poinsettias. Please write the dedications clearly.
