This is the last e-star you will receive from me this year. It has been a joyful and interesting year at Epiphany, good and bad. Actually, more good than bad. We have been blessed in many ways and learned a lot. I believe that 2023 will be an exciting year for our Church. We have NEW members and the potential to get more. Don't forget to meet and greet, even though we want to mingle with our "ole comrades."
Please help us get our visitors names and addresses in the Guest Book in the narthex. And don't forget to "mug-um."
I received word Tuesday from the Junior Warden that the door going out of the office building to the East Parking Lot has been repaired. Thank you, Rachel.
If you have been remiss in doing so, please pay for your poinsettias, $10. I might add, I know you have turned your 2023 Pledge Card in.....if not, it's not too late.
The Christmas Eve service was beautiful. A pleasant surprise was Fr. Ben Long coming to celebrate with Fr. Michael Long. After the service there was a wonderful reception in the choir room with fantastic goodies and spirits. Thank all that were there.
Sandy says plans are taking shape for our Epiphany Celebration, Sunday, January 8. There will be a light meal of enchiladas (thanks to Steve Tomlinson), beans -- thanks to Carol Weathers), and chips and salsa (thanks to Deana Geuther). I (Sandy) am making a King's Cake. Hidden somewhere in the cake will be a tiny baby (legend says that whoever finds the baby will have good luck all year long).
I received word from Fr. Michael that the Annual Parish Meeting will be Sunday, January 29, after the 10:30 a.m. worship service in the parish hall.
Because of the Parish Meeting the Daughters of the King will meet January 22nd in the choir room after church.
***There was an interesting article in the Marble Falls, Daily Tribune Newspaper (dailytrib.com) Tuesday that I hope you read. It was very informative about the "tripledemic" that has been plaguing the Highland Lakes area this holiday season regarding the RSV (virus), Flu, and COVID. It was authored by Dr. Jules Madrigal, our County Health Doctor. Very informative.
Sorry to inform you of the death of Jo Geuther, mother of Greg Geuther. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sure hope you did not receive any damage from the freezing temperatures and heavy winds. I might add thank you to Rachel Bryson for leaving the faucets to drip in the church buildings.
I hope that your Christmas was an especially good one, ours was: spending time with all our family on Christmas Day, running into old friends at a restaurant, and reconnecting with others from when we lived in Austin town. They say the older you get, the more this happens.
On a side note, in Today's "Google News" local, was the article about the 2 Episcopal Churches in Burnet/Marble Falls with pictures of the clergy.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to EVERYONE from Rufus & Sandy.
