For Your Information-The 2018 Burnet "County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is set to take place Saturday, October 13 for Burnet County and City of Horseshoe Bay residents. A detailed list of items accepted is published in the August 8 Burnet Bulletin. Collections will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Marble Falls High School Visitors Parking Lot off of the Manzano Mile. Last Sunday we had a wonderful time with our family; but before we left, we read Michael's sermon. All
of his sermons are meaningful, but this one really struck home. We struggle with making good choices and following God's will-and always it seems we fail. The last words of the sermon give us hope, and we
are grateful.
"So this business of doing God's will is demanding, bewildering, and difficult. We will fail at it. That's why
forgiveness is so important---forgiving each other, forgiving ourselves, and accepting God's forgiveness.
Eating the bread of heaven clearly implies something ongoing, like the daily bread for which we ask in our central prayer. Every day we need to be nourished by God's Spirit. Every day we need to renew our thanksgiving for the eternal life already begun in us.
We cannot do this by ourselves, so we pray: 'Grant to us, Lord, the spirit to think and do always those
things that are right, that we, who cannot exist without you, may be you be enabled to live according to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen."
Thanks Michael
Have a blessed week,
