Our love and prayers go out to Money Adams and his family. June was a real treasure. We remember the many years she and Pat Bass volunteered together at LA Care. Michael said it best in his response to the Special Edition E-Star. He said, "Just got this. Prayers for the repose of June's soul and in thanksgiving for her release. Also praying for Money, a true gentleman, whose love and care for his wife have been an inspiration."
Speaking of LA Care, many of the old volunteers have either died or are not able to do it. If this is something you think you might be able to do either on a regular 2 hour shift each month or as a substitute, please call either Lottie McCorkle at 512-756-4422, Rufus Arrington at 512-217-0812, or Margaret Thomas at 520-891-1461.
Another thank you to Pat Bass who has been volunteering since long before we came to Epiphany and to Mark Pack and Cesar Arreaza, our newest volunteers.
A Word about Respite Lunch-The Daughters of the King have taken on the buying of the Meat Loaves for Epiphany's time to provide the Respite Lunch for the Alzheimer's Respite Group. Thanks again to Deborah Kelley for providing salad and bread and to Dianne Williams for providing dessert August 13. Thanks also to Alicia White for providing salad and bread and to Patty Murray for providing dessert in October.
Last Sunday's attendance was 36.
This Sunday Michael will be back from his vacation. We hope he had a restful time enjoying the coolness of Colorado.
Those scheduled to serve this Sunday are Diane Hays and Sandy Arrington,
Ushers are Barbara DeHart and Alicia White.
Serving on Altar Guild are Cecile Gloier, Ellie Burks, and June Hutson.
Coffee Hosts are Rachel Bryson and Ellie Burks.
Vestry Person of the Day is Alicia White. Thanks to all
Have a blessed week,
Carpe Every Diem,
Rufus and Sandy
