I thought you might share this in the E-Star? Greg is the Senior Warden at Trinity, and he wanted me to invite anyone from Trinity who might be interested.
Hello all, Vaughn Hamilton, Lieutenant, Community Paramedic will be teaching again at Trinity Episcopal. In Vaughn Hamilton’s words “During the safety class on May 6th, we’ll think our way through a list of critical medical emergencies one might be faced with….To that end, we’ll talk together about Cardiac Arrest and how to perform the most meaningful kind of CPR for infants, children and adults. We’ll walk through the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). And from there we’ll cover the following topics and how we all can best respond to them: Drowning, Choking, Heart Attack, Stroke, Bleeding, Shock, Gunshot wounds, Burns, Broken bones, Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), Hypoglycemia, Seizures, Drug Overdose, Venomous snakebite, Poisoning, etc.” Vaughn will be thorough!
Please invite all the people in each of your ministries. Also, we are open to community groups who would benefit from this training. If you or anyone has questions, please contact me. Finally, I assure you, you will not be bored. Vaughn Hamilton is one of the most gifted presenters I have ever encountered! Peace, Greg Soechting
Renovation Update: The City of Burnet requested asbestos testing of the church as part of the permitting process. ASTEX Environmental services out of San Antonio, conducted testing this morning and the results will be shared with DC Renovation hopefully by Monday of next week. The technician did note moisture was detected inside the front wall. We are certainly moving in the right direction by having the wall removed and restructured.

This Sunday, April 28th is “Blue Sunday” in recognition of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services – April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. It is a day when churches across the nation agree to pray for children who have been abused. We pray because children who have been abused should not have to pray or feel alone.
L A Care needs your plastic grocery bags. You can drop them off at L A Care or if you leave them at the Church Office, Rufus & Sandy will get them to L A Care. Thank you!
Please continue to pray for all in need of comfort, healing, and support. We are all God’s children and are called to serve Him in any way we can.
