There are lot of new things going on with the worship at Epiphany. Change is good, but it is also sometimes difficult especially with a congregation of folks facing changes in their lives. We have found a richness in the prayer book that we didn't even know was there that has made our worship so much more meaningful. We hope that this will be true for you too.
One change is Palm Sunday. In addition to the service of the palms, we will have an old fashioned family picnic after the service. Epiphany is a family, and this will be a perfect time to celebrate that family. The guys are doing hot dogs and hamburgers. The children are making fresh squeezed lemonade (none of the powdered stuff), and we are asked to bring salads, deviled eggs, and finger desserts. Bring blankets or lawn chairs--be comfortable. We will have a live band. Thanks Bill Drake for getting this all together.
There will be a Choir rehearsal Monday, April 7th at 5:30 P.M. The choir will be having extra rehearsals to get ready for Palm Sunday, the Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday.
Please keep Ramsey(and Emmy) Clinton in your prayers. He will have a pacemaker replacement in S.A.Tuesday.Charlie Clayton had to go to the hospital in S.A. Al Broad is at Granite Mesa. Kathleen says that he is not doing well.
We are invited to the10th Anniversary Celebration of the Christian Women's Job Corps of the Highland Lakes. It is Sunday, April 13th at 6:00 at the First Baptist Church. The Christian Women's Job Corp has made a tremendous difference in bettering the lives of many ladies. Many of us have helped with it and been blessed by the experience. For more information, please call Alice Wooten, 512-756-1484 or 210-415-8612.
Also, ladies, please put on your calendar October 17-19, the dates of the Annual ECW Retreat at Camp Allen. More information will be coming.
Sue Brunson says the YMCA is still accepting donations for Summer Camp Scholarships.

"Open your eyes, be alert. A great thing is about to take place. 'Something wonderful is about to happen. Don't miss it!'." These words were near the beginning of Michael's sermon, and how true they are. Michael concluded his sermon by saying, "May we wake up from our unconscious, sleep-walking lives to the wonders of God all around us and within us. May we help others to awaken to the glory of God's creation." Thanks Michael for reminding us of this especially in this time of lent and of springtime.
Have a blessed week,
Rufus and Sandy
