St. Anne's Rummage Sale is next week-Friday and Saturday September 16
and 17 All items for the Rummage Sale should be brought to the Parish
Hall Tuesday morning. Items for the Bake Sale should be brought
Thursday afternoon.
Before that however, this Sunday, September 11 is our covered dish
lunch and birthday celebration. It is always a fun time to enjoy each
other as we wish a Happy Birthday to our September birthdays.
Thanks to Jo Lipscombe, Sandy Arrington, and Dianne Ragland for
providing lunch for the Alzheimer's Respite Group Tuesday, September
13. Is there someone who can provide bread and salad October 11 or
November 8? Thanks very much.
Because of a conflict in her schedule Jeannie Loving's visit will have
to be rescheduled. We will let you know when as soon as we have a
date.
Remember the Early Days of Rock and Roll- Well--our own Robbis Storm's
rock and roll group, The Elderly Brothers, will play at the Classic
Car Show this Saturday in Lampassas. They will play two sets-10-11
and 12-1. All this takes place in the two vacant lots behind Storms.

Thursday-September 8-the Church Office will be closed. Michael will
be at a Clergy Meeting, and Dianne has a doctor's appointment.

Those scheduled to serve this Sunday are: Lector-Rufus Arrington,
Eucharistic Minister-Sandy Arrington; Ushers are George and Bobbie
Clear; Vestry Person of the Day is Diane Hays.
Michael in his sermon last Sunday talked about the dangers of pride
and arrogance. He quoted from the collect, ' " Grant us, O Lord, to
trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud
who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make
their boast of your mercy' ". Thanks Michael.
