We are sure that you are familiar with the prayers at the back of the prayer book. Michael asked that we put this one in the E-Star today. It is Number 24-For an Election:
"Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of officials and representatives; that , by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord." Amen
We will pray this prayer in every service between now and the election.

From Michael's Sermon: 'Where do I look for help?' And the one powerful, universal answer to our cry for help: Our help comes from the Lord. The Lord who made everything that is. The rest of the psalm fleshes that our for us: Ultimately, no harm will overwhelm us (regardless of what the world might say): God won't let even our foot be moved. God won't be found asleep on the job, asleep at the wheel. God watches over us night and day and is more powerful than any evil which might threaten us."
