Let us begin on behalf of Nancy Huess thanking everyone that participated in the Thanksgiving Day Community Lunch. Over 200 people were served and it could not have been done with YOU. Many thanks to all. Sad that Nancy received word that morning of the passing of her father, Richard Whittner.. Nancy and her family will be leaving today for Minnesota for his funeral Please keep them in your prayers.
Update on Joyce Juhnke-She is in rehab Vibra Rehab Hospital at Lakeway. Our resident angel nurse, Alicia White has been in contact with her and Merle. We hope you got a chance to sign the card Alicia had for them Sunday.
Just so you will know-We lease the copier in the church office. Part of the contract is we pay so much per
copy each month. You will notice a container by the copier where you can put your money for making
personal copies. Do not let this prohibit you from making necessary copies.
A Word about the Lunch for the Highland Lake Respite Center-Thanks so much to Deborah Kelly for stepping up to volunteer to do the dessert. Now-Joyce had volunteered to do the bread and salad. Is there someone who could do that for her? A $1.00 loaf of sliced French bread from Walmart, buttered, is plenty.
A jello salad works well because of the risk of choking. If you have questions, just ask Rufus or Sandy.
Breakfast with Michael is tomorrow from 9-10 in the Parish Hall. If you find you can come at the last
minute, please do. There will be plenty. Thanks to Sherry Musgrove and Diane Hays for doing the biscuits; to
Bert and Phyllis McNelly for bringing the orange juice, (Incidentally Lee and Linda Myers were going to do it
but are with their father who had a heart attack while they were on a cruise) to Mike Kelley and Rufus for
cooking the sausage and eggs, to Pat Bass for bringing the apple strudel bites, and to Diane Langely for
doing the table decorations. As with last time, there will be a basket. Anything more than expenses will be
given to the church.
