The combination Birthday Celebration and Mother's Day Celebration was a joyous occasion. A special thank you to Alicia White and Bobbie Clear for making it so special. You outdid yourselves.
Choir Practice will be Wednesday at 5:45 and then again at 9:30 on Sunday.
Thursday at 3:30, there will be a meeting of all those who are now serving as Eucharistic Ministers, Eucharistic Visitors, Lectors or Crucifers/Acolytes. As you know June 5 will be Addison's last day to serve so we especially need Crucifers/Acolytes to take her place. If you have ever thought of serving in one of these areas, please also come to the meeting.
Vestry will meet Thursday at 6:30.
This Sunday, May 15 will be Senior Sunday. We will honor our graduating seniors, Addison Drake and John Erskine. Please try to come for this happy occasion.
St. Anne's will meet Sunday after the service.
REMEMBER-June 12 is our annual church picnic hosted by the Drakes. We will also celebrate Rogation Sunday. Please bring salads or desserts to go along with the hamburgers. A musical group, American Dreamers will entertain us. To avoid any confusion, this will ALL happen at the Church.
The Spring/Summer Church Directory is now available in the Narthex and the office. If you need a copy mailed to you, please let the office know.
Attendance last Sunday was 40 . The collection was $1148.
Remember if you switch Eucharistic Minister, usher, or Vestry Person of the Day, please let Dianne Ragland know by Thursday so she can get the correct information in the bulletin.
Eucharistic Ministers Sunday will be David Leitch and Rachel Bryson. Ushers will be Joe and Dolores Urias. Vestry Person of the Day will be Diane Hays.
Michael's sermon last Sunday was based on the story of the slave girl who was healed by Paul. If you weren't there and don't get the sermon sent to you, read the story in Acts. . There are many parts to the story and many characters. Michael closed his sermon with a few words that hit home. He said, "May we find our place (or places) in the story and ask God to use us as beacons of the same, with or without our knowledge."
Have a blessed week,
Carpe Every Diem,
Rufus and Sandy
