It was a joy to see Joyce Juhnke in church Sunday accompanied by her lovely daughter Rochelle and precious granddaughter Emily. It made Palm Sunday very special.
We hope you are having a blessed Holy Week. Tomorrow evening is the Maundy Thursday service at 7:00 pm. On Friday will be be Community Wide Good Friday service at 12:00 followed by a light luncheon. Our choir will be joined by members of other church choirs in Burnet in singing, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross". That evening at 7:00 will be Epiphany's Good Friday Service. Saturday, March 31will be our Easter Vigil service beginning at 8:00 p.m. We hope you can come to as many of these special services as you can.
Easter Sunday Service is at 10:30 this Sunday. There will be the flowering of the cross. If you have flowers in your yard or can purchase some, please bring some so that there will be enough for everyone to participate in this. After the service, there will be as Easter Egg Hunt for the children followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny herself.
A reminder from Jane Scheidler-Easter Lilies are beautiful, but they are poisonous to cats and can be harmful to dogs
Another thing important about this Sunday is the beginning of Child Abuse Awareness Month. Blue is the color to remind us of this, and there will be blue ribbons for you to wear.
A Word about Saltine Sunday which is also this Sunday- We found out that LA Care does not always need saltines but has other needs. So, we are changing the name to LA Care Sunday and will use the money to buy whatever LA Care needs. Right now, it is canned meats. We take the money, put it into an envelope , and put it in the collection. In this way, the money is counted toward our LA Care Outreach. Then the church issues us a check which we cash and buy what is needed. It is better to just put money into the basket, but if you wish to bring things, please do so..
So you will know--Bert and Phyllis McNelly are at Mayo Clinic this week for Tests. Please keep them in your prayers.
George Shoop is at home. Please keep he and the family in your prayers.
" Dianne and Angie want to thank everyone for all of the prayers for her sister/Angie's mother and all of the family. It was so comforting for us during this time".
Remember that a copy of the Financial Report given to the Vestry is posted on the Bulletin Board outside the
