IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!!!!
We will not have our regularly scheduled covered dish lunch this Sunday. INSTEAD we will have our annual church picnic, Sunday June 25. Bill Drake and his cooking helpers will do the hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring salads or desserts to complete the meal.
Please look in your church directory to be sure all your information is correct. If something needs to be changed please let us know. That way, we can put any corrections in the E-Star; and the corrections will be made before the next directory comes out. Thanks so much.
Last Sunday was Pentecost, the feast of the Holy Spirit. The color for the day was red. Incidentally, we found out that we use red only twice each year, one being Pentecost and the other Maundy Thursday. This Sunday the color will be white for Trinity Sunday. After that the color will be green for many weeks.
Great News- Rufus saw Cricket Leaphart today, and Ricky is doing so much better. They go to Houston every 21 days for treatments. Ricky as you know is the pastor of the Lutheran Church in Burnet and a good friend to many of us.
A Word from LACare- last week we worked at LACare and noticed that although there was plenty of peanut butter, there were no crackers. Would you please bring a box or two of plain saltine crackers Sunday. If you happen to forget you could give one of us a dollar or two, and we will buy them. Peanut Butter and crackers is nutritious, easy, and requires no refrigeration. Thank you so much.
Dates to keep in mind:
Tuesday, June 13-Alzheimer's Respite Group-thanks to the people of Epiphany, Joyce Juhnke, and Patty Murray for providing the meal.
Thursday, June 15-Vestry meeting Young Scarbrough will discuss ways to invest the money from the Edward Jones account. All parishioners are welcome to come.
Thursday, June 15-Community Kitchen
Sunday, June 18-Daughters of the King-Notice a change of date. This is because of the parish picnic on June 25.
Sunday, June 25-ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC

Have a blessed week,
Carpe every diem,
Rufus and Sandy
