Well, this is where the rubber meets the road--we continue to talk about our Epiphany Family-last week we talked about an award that a young man received that had just graduated college, awesome. We would like to follow that with another recognition.
Scott W. Tinker, son of Jan and Tom Tinker, has been named the 2016 recipient of the Michel T. Halbouty Outstanding Leadership Award. This award is given in recognition of outstanding and exceptional leadership in petroleum geophysics. He is director of the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas. "I was stunned." he said when questioned. He is truly an example of good roots and wings. Congratulations to Scott, and Tom and Jan.
A Note from Carol Weathers: Gathering things for the Rummage Sale?---St. Anne's has 2 storage units at Westore on Hwy. 29---The address is 2111 W. Hwy. 29. Dianne has keys for both units, #38 and # 14. Please sign out the keys and return them as soon as you are though with them. The Rummage Sale will be September 16th and 17th. It was good to have Fr. Ben Long with us these last two Sundays as it will be good to have Michael back. We hope that he and Cheri had a wonderful and restful vacation. It was also good to have John Mather and Ben and Joann Thomas in church Sunday.
The church office will be closed Friday, July 1 in observance of the July 4th holiday.
Thank you to Mae Wright, Sandy Arrington, and Phyllis McNelly for providing lunch in July for the Alzheimer's Respite Group.
