Come one, come all to the church picnic-ready to enjoy being with old friends and making new friends. Dress comfortably and bring a salad or dessert to go with the hamburgers, hot dogs, and chips.
A word from LA Care-if you have children's books that you no longer need, LA Care could surely use them. In the summer a book is given to each child who comes. If you have books to donate and can get them to the Church Office, we will get them to LA Care.
A great big thank you to David Leitch who mowed the back lot. It looks so nice.
It occurs to us that a few weeks back when we called that Sunday, the In Gathering for UTO, it really wasn't that. It was the day we were to pick up a box or envelope. The In Gathering-the day we bring them back is October 29. Whenever you feel particularly thankful for a small blessing like a child's smile, an email from a good friend, or anything else, put a coin in the box or envelope. It helps to keep us focused on the good things in our lives as well as giving to a very worthwhile organization.
When I (Sandy) worked at LaCare last Wednesday, I noticed that there were still a few sleeves of the crackers we gave-and we were thanked again. How would it be if we designated the first Sunday of each Monday as Cracker Sunday?
