It was good to see so many old friends and new friends in church last Sunday. We especially enjoyed having Kathryn Drake with us. She and her violin add so much to the worship. By the way she and her Blue Grass Group-have been invited to play a gig in Minnesota. That is why she is on the prayer list for travelling.
Does someone have a bit of time? Morgan Wright has retired after years of faithful service picking up bread for LACare. Thank you so much Morgan. We need someone to pick up bread on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you can do one or both of those days, please contact Patty Murray-512-715-6037.
Remember that this Sunday is our Covered Dish Lunch and Birthday Celebration. Please try to come. We will have to miss it because we are going to Alpine to say good-by to an old friend who is coming to the end of her struggle with ALS. Hostesses for the lunch will be Sherry Musgrove and PhyllisMcNelly. Mae Wright will take care of the birthday cake and cards.

Sometimes we have so many worries about so many things. It seems to us that Michael addressed this very well in the last sentence of his sermon. He said, "Let us, in every way we can-whether it is responding to the single stranger in need or a world at odds with itself on so many fronts--seek to know and do God's will. And God will help us at every step along the way." Thanks Michael.
Have a blessed week,
Carpe Every Diem,
Rufus and Sandy
