Alleluia, the Lord is risen indeed! Anyone at the Easter Sunday service could have no doubt of that. So many children and grandchildren along with adults put flowers on the cross, making it beautiful and setting the scene for what was to come.
Fr. Ted Hervey was able to be with us, the first time in a long time.
And then the music. Jason Jones, Director of Bands, Burnet High School was our trumpeter. It was glorious.
And now, a word from Jason himself, "Thank you for having me out to play. It was as honor to spend Easter Sunday morning with all of you, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus! Jason
All of this as well as the Community Good Friday Service and Lunch and the other special services could not have happened without the hard work of a lot of people. Thank you so much.
With all that, we were able to collect $108 for LACare Sunday. That will feed a lot of hungry people. Thank you so much again.
Blue ribbons were available to remind us of the many children who are abused. If you did not get one last Sunday, they will be available each Sunday in April.
Sunday attendance 95 Collection $ 4655 Remember that a copy of the Financial Report given to the Vestry is posted on the Bulletin Board outside the Church Office for your information.
The choir is taking the week off. There will be no choir practice this Wednesday, and the choir will not sing Sunday. It will be a great chance for us all to sing together as a congregation.
